VIRTV-S AVGG / P - R / R T Campgate with open doors and three turrets. RIC -. Apparently unique and of great interest. Minor traces of corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

Completely unlisted in RIC, this is one of the rarest of the reverses from the 'P R/ R P' emissions, showing a gate with three turrets and open doors. A total of only four coins with this reverse are known, three for Constantine I, and one for Crispus. All but one Constantine example are in the Ramskold Collection, and this is the only known example from officina T.
